Tools
My tools for working on this website are simple. Most of the work is done on a Macbook with the 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo and 2 gigabytes of RAM. It comes from an extended lineage of Apple products that have graced my desktop since 1992.
As for software, I use Textmate to write and publish my blog. Any photos that wander onto my site via are probably edited with the GIMP.
Some of my posts begin in a much more low-tech fashion, such as on 3×5 note cards written with a Fisher Space Pen. Other times they are born on a legal pad or Moleskine notebook written with a fountain pen or the ever-versatile Pilot G-2. As a devoted writing aficianado, I’ll sometimes whip out my Rotring 600 mechanical pencil.
