Omnifocus vs. iGTD

Repost of an article from a former blog.

The field of Mac software is filling up with programs to help implement David Allen’s Getting Things Done strategy, but I’ve been fiddling with two in particular lately.

I’m an alpha tester for OmniFocus and have also stumbled across iGTD. As much as I want to love OmniFocus and as unfair as this is to say because it is alpha software after all, I think I like the free iGTD better.

iGTD offers tons of fields and integration with Apple applications like Mail (as well as third party helpers like MailTags). OmniFocus will probably get some more polish (a lot in fact) before it’s release (whenever that may be).

I’ll withhold my final judgement, but iGTD has the edge right now.

[Update] iGTD may have had the lead when I originally posted that article, but Omnifocus won. I use it and love it and can’t wait for it to come out for iPhone.
