Cleaning schmeaning
I had grand expectations of myself for this cold Saturday morning but bed just seems like the place to be right now.
It’s supposed to get up to about 60 degrees today but it’s a chilly 32 right now and, breaking tradition, sunny this morning. Although the sun has risen I’m just not ready to do that yet.
Well, not completely.
I’ve gotten up, taken my shower, spent a little time with my son Jordan while our daughter Kat sleeps downstairs. She had a friend spend the night last night and I’m sure they were up until the wee hours despite our recommendation for a relatively early turn-in. Jordan, of course, is on the computer playing games.
So now I’m propped up in my traditional Saturday morning spot, in the bed with a Macbook Pro in my lap, a cup of coffee in my hand and our dog Sam at my feet while Julie is at work.
I hate that she has to work Saturdays. It just kind of screws up all of our weekends. Weird bankers hours too — 8:15 a.m. to noon or so —just enough to throw a wrench in the day.
Meagan spent the night with her grandparents and is going to a roller skating birthday party this afternoon. Zack is still at his mom’s house but will be back tomorrow.
Now that everyone knows where my family is and what we’re doing, I’ll leave you all to the rest of your day…for now.
