Omnifocus 1.0

While I’ve been a little too busy to blog Omnifocus hit the 1.0 milestone and was officially released on Tuesday. The release led to some funny-looking goofiness that was my fault, not Omnigroup’s.

Since the application was final I was deleting the archived copies of the beta I had in my Applications folder. As a keyboard junkie I hit the keyboard shortcut to open Pathfinder, typed omn-, then held down shift and started hitting the down arrow to select all of the copies (and stopping just shy of OmniOutliner Pro and OmniWeb by the way).

Then I hit the oops key.

Instead of hitting cmd-delete to move all of those files to the trash, I hit cmd-O, which any good keyboard shortcut junkie knows is almost universally the shortcut to open a program.

Or, rather, all of the programs that might be selected even if they are all the same program.
And the bouncing began.

Keyboard Shortcuts Gone Wrong

It took me about five minutes to clear out all of the error messages and quit all of those bouncy icons, but I’m afraid the absurdity of all of those bouncing purple folders did make me giggle.

Yes, what she said. BUT, the thought of you giggling at all those purple folders made me giggle. Nerd.

If you think that imagining him giggling at those purple folders was fun, you should have seen him. Let me just tell you Eric is just way too cute for words.
